Congratulations on making plans to participate in the 2024 Vestavia Hills Youth Football League. This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please update your account and contact information during registration. Read through each page carefully to ensure all information provided is accurate. To complete registration through our secure site, have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available. Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account.
Football is a sport that requires a dedicated commitment by each player and incredible teamwork. Each year we strive for excellence as an organization. We are very fortunate as a community to have coaches that volunteer their time and are willing to invest in each player’s football future. In the past, we have been privileged to have volunteers willing to lead each grade level through the lengthy season.
Though it is our desire for every registrant to have an opportunity to play football there are circumstances that could prevent some registrants from participating. VHYF is a member of the Jefferson-Shelby Youth Football league and their by-laws dictate the maximum size of each team. If we exceed the maximum number allowed on a single team it will require another team to form and more volunteers willing to coach. Hopefully, we will have adequate volunteers to provide everyone an opportunity to participate on a team. However, should we have to limit the number of participants we would like to provide clarity to the registration process and how registrants will be prioritized. For the formation of the 2024 VHYF football teams, all returning players will be given the top registration priority. Next, a newly eligible registrant (i.e. recently moved to Vestavia) will be given an opportunity to participate in VHYF. Lastly, a 2024 registrant who was eligible for the 2023 season but did not participate will be given an opportunity to join a 2024 team after the two aforementioned registration scenarios have been considered.
In the event VHYF determines that any registrations cannot be accepted a full refund will be issued.
April 1st - April 30th - $350.00
May 1st - May 15th - $375.00
Your registration fees are applied to the costs associated with a game jersey, certified helmet, shoulder pads, game pants, parks and rec player fees, referees and athletic trainers for game days. Practice pants and jerseys are also provided.
New for the 2024 season, VHYF is offering each player the opportunity to purchase their own Guardian Helmet Cap. We will offer this at a reduced price from standard retail as part of registration. For more information on the product, visit www.guardiansports.com.
A player must meet certain age restrictions for each division. Also, players over a certain weight established for each division will be required to play on the line:
JSYFL and VHYF have a 4 play minimum play rule for all ages. The minimum play rule is only in effect for regular season games.
For all ages, if a player has an unexcused absence from a practice, they waive their right to the minimum play rule for that game. If a player does not want to enter the game, they waive their right to the minimum play rule.
